We take the protection of your data seriously. Sometimes we need to collect personal data to provide the service you expect, and when we do, we will explain clearly what we’re collecting and what we intend to do with it.
What personal information we collect
When you fill in the contact form, the site securely processes and stores what you enter, and emails it to the appropriate recipient (either the National Co-ordinator or the individual area’s Farmer). They will use it to respond accordingly, archiving correspondence just like you would expect any responsible company to do.
When you contact us by phone, email or post, we will also use your contact details and personal information to respond appropriately and archive it securely for an appropriate length of time.
If you become a Farmer we will ask you for the personal information we need in order to work with you. We will store it securely, and delete it if appropriate if you stop being a Moo Music Farmer in the future.
If you register or attend a Moo Music session the leader (Farmer) of that area or their appointed contractor may ask you for the personal information they need to register your child and contact you about Moo Music sessions. The Farmer will be responsible for storing and holding your information securely and it will not be transferred to the national office.
When you visit this site, the server and site security software may process and store your computer’s IP address (which contains approximate location information) within the scope of the law, to prevent unauthorised access and ensure the site works as intended. The server deletes these logs after 4 weeks.
Cookies
Your experience on this site will generally be cookie-free. There are just a couple of exceptions.
If you view embedded content from YouTube, Spotify or another company, that content will be clearly flagged and you will be asked for consent to allow the third party to set cookies. If you agree, a cookie will be set by us to log this consent, so we don’t have to bug you every time.
If you visit the Farm Shop (farmers only), essential cookies will be used to record items you put in your basket and for similar purposes to ensure the shop works as you expect. No marketing or tracking data is shared with anyone else.
If you log in as a Farmer or Administrator to edit pages, essential cookies will also be used to make your login work and facilitate the editor interface.
How and where your data is stored
The site uses a securely encrypted connection to transfer any information you submit, and stores it in a database on the server, which is based in the UK. We take server backups regularly which are stored, encrypted, on Dropbox for up to 4 weeks. We use secure passwords to protect all the data on the site, and do not share access with anyone except when necessary with those who are directly responsible for providing the hosting and other services the site relies on.
Disclosing your information
We do not sell personal data to anyone. We only share personal information when it’s necessary to do what you have asked us to do, or if we are legally obliged to.
Access to your personal information
You have the right to know what information we hold about you. If you contact us and ask, we will be happy to:
- tell you what information we hold;
- tell you why we are holding it;
- tell you who it could be disclosed to;
- update it if it’s inaccurate;
- remove it (unless there’s a legitimate reason why we need to keep it); and
- let you have a copy of the information in an intelligible form.
