Katie Beardall
My name is Katie, I have a little MOOborn of my own! If you'd like to know more about my background, this can be found on my social media pages.
What to expect at Moo
MOO Music caters for ages 0-5 years, my classes will work alongside the EYFS, focusing on different areas of development for children based on their developmental age. Attending MOO music classes will help build on your little MOO'ers confidence supporting your childs personal, social and emotional development. The social environment at MOO classes will encourage your little MOOer's to communicate with other children, whether this be through play/song or verbally for the older MOOer's. MOO music is an interactive, fun music session for your little MOO'ers to express themselves through the art of music. My MOO music classes will be structured to include songs to focus on elements of physical development (both fine and gross motor skills), maths and literacy.
This will follow the same structure on a weekly basis. Repetition for your child is great, they may even begin to sing along with the songs. I will be including speak and sign within some of my songs for the older MOO'ers and baby sign for my MOOborns, this is great way for your little ones to start to communicate with you when they don't yet have the verbal language. Babies can start signing back to you at as early as nine months. It is also a great tool for your child to have to communicate with other children/ adults in social settings whilst non verbal.
Each term I will have a termly focus topic, I will then tailor my weekly theme at classes to aid the monthly topic. these topics again focus on things to help your childs development, such as bravery, kindness, independence etc. I will have props for each weekly theme, so there will be plenty of photo opportunity for you and your child.
On special occasions I will run specials classes, a proffesional photographer will come along and take pictures of your child at an additional charge, perfect keepsakes to look back on!
