Since taking my own daughter to parent and child swimming lessons 7 years ago, I knew our music would be so much more fun in the water than traditional songs are! Fast forward all those years and finally in 2022 I made Moo Music Splash a reality! I absolutely love teaching little ones those essential early swimming skills, it's so wonderful to watch them (and their carers!) develop whilst having so much fun.

Naomi loves teaching little ones their early swimming skills and she brings loads of fun to her lessons! She's been teaching swimming for a number of years and was the very first Moo Music Splash swimming teacher in England!
What to expect at Moo
Fun, highly interactive Swimming Teachers’ Association ‘Swimstar Swimschool’ approved parent and child swimming lessons in Olton, Acocks Green & Sheldon, Birmingham. Our music is brought to life in the water to teach and develop essential swimming skills. Fast-paced and fun, Moo Music Splash is a completely new concept in baby and toddler swimming lessons. All our teachers are fully qualified members of the Swimming Teacher Association and follow the Swimming Teacher Association ‘Starfish’ award scheme. And because this is Moo Music, you and your little ones not only get all the amazing benefits and lifeskills associated with swimming, but also the regular benefits of Moo Music classes including communication skills, social skills & teamwork, memory and language skills. Newborn lessons are slower and quieter, offering a safe, fun introduction to swimming for babies from birth!
Our Pools!
Aquasport Dive Centre- Just off the A41 in Olton, between Solihull and Acocks Green. Aquasport is a purpose-build dive centre which is kept at a toasty 31 degrees. We have private use of the pool with a comfortable viewing/ waiting area. The pool is 1.4m deep so carers need to be over 5’2″. There’s free onsite parking.
Archbishop Ilseley School- During summer months we’re at the lovely big pool in the centre of Acocks Green. Free onsite parking and plenty of room for spectators. The temperature is around 30-31 degrees but drops over winter which is why we only use this pool in the summer.
Brays School- Just off the A45 in Sheldon, near Solihull. Brays school pool is a purpose build hydrotherapy pool which is kept at a lovely warm 34.5 degrees! We can take babies from birth at this pool; delivering a safe, fun first experince of a swimming pool preparing tinies for their first Moo Music Splash lessons.

May 2024 – The waiting list is OPEN for Saturday morning lessons at Brays School! Join the fun at this purpose-built, warm hydrotherapy pool. We’ll have baby lessons suitable for babies from newborn!
May 2024 – 2 is becoming 3!…. Yep, we’ve got another venue to add to our timetable and we’ll be taking babies from newborn! Swimming lessons for newborns will involve a gentle introduction to the water. Babies can easily be overstimulated so to avoid sensory overload, brand new ‘Tiny Splash’ will focus on feeling the water and experiencing the enjoyment of a swimming pool for the first time in a safe, fun way without additional music.
April 2024 – We’re back at Archbishop Ilsley school! Saturdays for babies and toddlers from 5 months to 3 years! Come and join the fun!
February 2024 – Saturday splash lessons are confirmed for Archbishop Ilsley! We’ll be back at Easter, booking will open next week!
December 2023 – We’ve added a new Baby Splash lesson on Thursdays at 2.10pm! Currently only 5 places so don’t delay! There’s just 1 place per lesson on the others. Saturdays will return at Easter, there’s a growing waiting list to join us so please pop your name down if you think you’d like to trial!…..
October 2023- We’re so excited! We’re bringing our fantastic unique brand of baby and toddler swimming lessons to BICESTER! Trial lesson available 6th October then full details will be confirmed! Friday mornings at Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa!
Sept 2023- Saturdays is on! Saturday swimming lessons are almost fully booked at Archbishop Ilsley so get in touch if you want to claim a trial place!
July 2023- We’re bringing our Swimstars Swimschool swimming lessons to Archbishop Ilsley School on Saturdays from September! We can now take children up to age 5, teaching them to swim in a safe, fun environment with a maximum of 4 children in the older kids’ lessons. Maximum 8 in the parent & child lessons.

Acocks Green baby swimming lessons are full on Thursdays again but watch this space for additional lessons on Tuesdays.
Bloxham baby swimming lessons have a few places, with a lovely big, private pool we can accommodate a few more than elsewhere.
And did you know our swimming lessons are not only fantastic for water confidence and safety, but because it’s Moo Music Splash your little one is also getting all the regular developmental aspects of Moo Music! Our classes support baby and childhood development through multi-sensory props, games, actions and roleplay!

💦What is the water temperature? Brays school Sheldon is 33.5, Aquasport Olton is 31 and Archbishop Ilsley Acocks Green between 29-30.
💦Should I bring floats for my baby? No
💦Does my toddler need a happy nappy? Yes, they will not be allowed in without one.
💦How many children are in a lesson? Max 6 at Brays, 7 at Aquasport and 8 at Archbishop Ilsley.
💦Do I have to be able to swim? No, we’ll help build your confidence if necessary and you won’t go out of your depth.
💦Can two adults enter the water? No unless there is a support need, please discuss this with us. Spectators are welcome though.
💦Do you offer catch-up for missed lessons? Yes subject to availability and prior notice. Please ask.
💦Will my toddler actually learn to swim? Probably not, baby swimming lessons focus on general physical and emotional development which are important for future physical and mental health. The skills they learn will equip them with safe water behaviour and help them confidently join big kid lessons at 4+ and learn more easily.
💦 Do you force submersion? No. Our lessons are child led. Forcing submersion or teaching early drowning prevention has been shown to cause potential psychological harm and is not recommended by reputable swim bodies.

My little girl has been attending moo music splash since she was 6 months. Each session is provided with communication building along with physical skills, which myself and my daughter love! There are lots of recourses provide for all the babies to explore throughout session too! Naomi is very enthusiastic in every session with a smile on her face each week welcoming all the babies and interacting with them individually!

Amazing company, my little girl has been attending swimming lessons since she was 12 weeks old(now 6m) she absolutely loves the water which pleases me as I love the water. we've had both Naomi and Cath teach lessons and both are fantastic teachers. I feel completely safe when in the water with my baby and know they are highly skilled. I have seen so much improvement in our little ones confidence and cannot wait to see how she continues to improve over the next 6months+. Have been going to the sessions in Acocks Green since they launched. Myself and Hope have grown in confidence in the water. The classes are engaging and educational. Naomi tailors the activities to individuals, suggesting different positions for those unsure of the water and also for those who are more confident. Bonus points for finally getting a child who doesn’t claw me to death when I’m washing their hair 😂 1 out of 3 ain’t bad lol
