I'm Lucy and I am married to Mike with three children, including a daughter with Down Syndrome and twins (boy/girl). Prior to starting at Moo Music, I used to be a Solicitor, first working in private practice and defending the NHS against claims made against it and thereafter as a Legal Adviser in the Magistrates' Courts, advising the Magistrates in their adult and youth criminal and family jurisdictions. However, having a daughter with development issues meant that I took a great interest in child development and helping my children reach their full potential. I volunteered for a charity helping families of children with Down Syndrome, assisting at "Signing for Babies" sessions, where we used music to help teach makaton signs to pre-school aged children. When we moved to Northern Ireland, I gave up my legal career and became a Classroom Assistant, so that I could be off at the same time as my children and help children with Special Educational Needs. I also volunteered for Home Start (I still volunteer for them) as well as manning the SENAC helpline. My passion is now working with children and helping them develop using music, dance and play. Moo Music's wonderful original songs are so much fun and I can't wait to introduce you and your little ones to them!

What to expect at Moo

Moo Music is a great fun and interactive regular music session for 0 to 5 year old children and their parents, grandparents or carers too, where the children sing, dance and play. Music is an essential part of every child’s development and the 125 original Moo Music songs used at the sessions are positive, uplifting, fun and educational. The interactive sessions will help your child gain confidence and develop memory, language and coordination skills in an exciting, enjoyable and multi-sensory way. It’s a great way to make new friends – both for the children and the adults too!
