Moosical Fun for your Little One:
Moo Music is a fun, friendly, and interactive music and multi-sensory class for 0 to 5 year old children and their parents, grandparents or carers too, where the children sing, dance and play (and learn without realising it!).
Each week, with the help of Maggie Moo and the other adorable Moo Music characters, we enjoy the fabulously catchy original Moo Music songs, written to help your child learn through play. We sing, we moo've, we enjoy a wide range of sensory play, we play hunting and sorting games, do silly dances, watch puppet shows, play with a fantastic range of lovely instruments and generally have lots of Moosical fun!
Usually our sessions will have a theme - it could be 'Down on the Farm' or 'Going the the Seaside, 'Superheroes' or 'Space'. Sometimes we might have a special session linked to one of our favourite stories or special events, such as the Queen's birthday, or Valentines Day. But we always enjoy the same welcome songs, and follow a similar structure each week as repetition and familiarity are key ingredients in helping your child feel happy and confident to join in and have fun each week!
Music is an essential part of every child's development and the 125 original Moo Music songs used at the sessions are positive, uplifting, fun and educational. The interactive sessions will help your child gain confidence and develop memory, language and coordination skills in an exciting, enjoyable and multi-sensory way. It's a great way to make new friends - both for the children and the adults too!
A bit about us...
From Farmer Nicola ...
I'm Nicola and, as an experienced Music teacher, I've been inspired to run Moo Music sessions having seen how much my own son has enjoyed and learnt from them (he was singing along to Moo Music songs before he could talk!)! I have two children, aged 4 and 7, and both love singing along with the fantastic Moo Music songs.
Having previously been a Head of Music in a large, comprehensive secondary school, I now teach Music to 5 - 11 year olds in a primary school 3 days a week alongside running Moo Music classes. I am fascinated by how music can impact on the development of young children and, of course, they get so much enjoyment from singing along and dancing. I aim to make my sessions fun, relaxed, sociable and interactive and to include a wide variety of experiences and experiences in each session.
I would love for you to join us and always welcome new moo'vers! My classes are full of lovely, friendly families - Mummies, Daddies, Grannies, Uncles, friends and other special people, who are all super supportive and understanding of each other. We all know what it's like to be responsible for little people, and love having fun together each week with no judgements, no pressure, just lots and lots of joy and laughter!
From Farmer Gemma ... I’m Gemma and I am excited to be bringing another Moo Music class to the area! I am a qualified primary school teacher and have 10 years of classroom experience, with lots of experience teaching music to primary aged children and in a range of musical events. I play the flute and saxophone and my main passion is playing these instruments in Big Bands.
I am also a Mum to a 2 year old boy and 4 year old girl, both of whom adore singing and dancing and I have loved introducing them to the Moo Music songs, which they have great fun with! I completely understand how important it is to have a lively and educational class that’s full of variety, for all of the senses, and I think Moo Music does this extremely well.
I look forward to welcoming you to our new West Ashton (Trowbridge) sessions very soon!
